Creativity

The TRIP is the mental projection of my digital self. Including all areas of digital work I have been involved with, including Music, video, photography...

All good web pages must have the collection of absolutely useless pictures. Designed for no purpose other than to consume kilobits. And hopefully show off some of my Photographic skills. Web design skills, and uses one php script to drive the whole index. Also see the Photography section of the Silicontrip Website.

The Creative section of the TRIP is my imagination trying to run free. I have a fascination with sexual, spiritual and meta physical abilities, and these stories show it.

Part of the images directory contains some of my digital artwork. These images have been created or enhanced by myself, with the help of the 1s and 0s machine.

Arcade Fighter Applet

I've written Arcade Fighter as a java applet so you can play it right here. I guess I should write instructions on how to play the game. For those of you who don't know. Arcade Fighter is a simulation of a Collectors card game a friend of mine, Hi Rob, made. He got me to make the simulation so he could play test it. The original application is written so that the computer can play itself and statistics about the game are recorded. The Applet however you play the computer, for one game.

I hope you enjoy it.

This applet is around 400k in size so will take at least half a minute to load. Please be patient. Instructions below.

Your browser does not support Java, so nothing is displayed.

Instructions

To begin, choose a character you wish to fight with.
Different characters have different amounts of LIFE and ENERGY and different amounts of ATTACK and DEFENSE cards they have in their hand.
Ivor also has a special ability that all his attacks do 1 damage more.

You will take it in turns to attack the other player and defend their attacks.
At the start of an attack round your energy is increased by the characters starting energy.
Chose an attack card (Orange) from your hand (displayed along the bottom,) the defender defends with the appropriate defense cards.
Different Attacks will cost you different amounts of ENERGY. Attack cards attempt to do Damage to the other players LIFE and stun their ENERGY.
Some attacks have special effects.
Some attacks may have a HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW angle, which is chosen after the attack card is chosen.
The defender plays a defense card against the attack. Different defense cards only work against different angles.
Some defense cards reduce the damage to 0 while others only reduce by 1 or 2 points.
Some Defense cards cost ENERGY.
When an attack is played it is removed from your attack hand.
Attack Cards that cannot be played, (should be) greyed out. A bug in this version prevents greying out, selecting the card has no effect and you must chose another. The history, at the top of the window shows the last card to be played, at the left, This will most likely be a defense card played in response to your attack.
Damage to the player is shown by the number of LIFE and ENERGY on their display, on the left of the window.
Actual damage is shown on the cards in the history window.

Chose the "NONE" button when you are finished attacking. You now have the option of discarding attack cards. Chose "NONE" to finish discarding.

The defender and attacker switch roles.
Your energy remains the same as it did at the end of your attack. You must balance how many attack cards they play while having energy remaining to play defense cards.

The computer attack card is shown in the History panel. The card will be on the left.
The attack card will show the angle of the attack.
Chose an appropriate defense (Blue), from your defense hand. Defenses that cannot be played are greyed out (see BUGS)
The defense round finishes when the attacker decides, or runs out of attack cards.
You have the opportunity to discard defense cards. Choose "NONE" when finished.
The defender and attacker switch roles.
Your energy is increased by the characters staring amount.

Game is won when the defenders life is reduced to 0 (or less)
